Other Building Facts

New York Airways opened a heliport on the roof December 21, 1965 with helicopter service to JFK until February 18, 1968. Service was restored in 1977 for a few months until an accident on May 16 which killed 5 people, including 1 on the ground. The heliport has not used since the accident.
